DWGC Kaffee Klatsch

Democratic Women of Grayson County was organized in June 2008. The purpose of DWGC is to educate, empower, and unite all women behind two common goals—supporting our party’s ideals and candidates and involving all women in the political process.

DWGC is a political action committee subject to the reporting requirements of the Federal Election Commission (FEC) and the Texas Ethics Commission (TEC).

We sponsor educational speakers once each quarter. Every two years, DWGC sponsors the Eleanor Roosevelt Awards dinner. The awards dinner is named for Eleanor Roosevelt because as First Lady she blazed paths for women and led the battle for social justice everywhere. We honor at this dinner, women in our community who support democratic ideals and exemplify the work for which Eleanor Roosevelt was known.

Women's March on Washington.

Many women from Grayson County joined in marches locally and in Washington. This is the anthem of the march.
